Thoughts and Notes on “The Great Gatsby” Chapter 5


    In Chapter five we find out that Nick invited Daisy and Gatsby to have tea at Nicks house. When Daisy arrives Gatsby is really nervous and turns pale before he meets with Daisy. Nick later on tells Gatsby to snap out of it and be polite. When Gatsby realizes he was being a little impolite so he goes out there and crates conversation one thing leads to another Gatsby takes everyone to show his house off but what we find out is that he only bought the house because you could see Daisy’s house from his.

Chapter 8 “The Great Gatsby” Notes Nick has to go back to the city, Gatsby is still in love with Daisy, and Wilson has found the person who killed Myrtel or he thinks he knows. The car he had recognized belonged to Gatsby and he just assumed it was Gatsby driving the car and killed Myrtel and he came up with a plan the kill Gatsby. His plan went through and he killed Gatsby but he ended up killing himself after he was done with Gatsby.
